  • Polygons:-A simple closed curve made up of only line segments is called a polygon.

  • Simple curve:-A simple curve is a curve that does not cross itself.
  • Simple Closed Curve:-A connected curve that does not cross itself and ends at the same point where it begins. Example- Circle.
  • Convex Polygon:- A polygon that has all interior angle less than 180° .Convex Polygon has all the diagonals inside the Polygon.

  • Concave Polygon:- A polygon that has one or more interior angles greater than 180°. Concave polygon don’t have all the diagonals inside the Polygon.

  • Regular Polygon:- a polygon that has all sides and agles are equal.
  • Sum of interior angles:-The Sum of the angles in the polygon is given by (n-2) × 180 , where n is no. of sides in polygon.


  • Quadrilateral:- A quadrilateral is a four-sided polygon with four angles.There are many kinds of quadrilaterals. The five most common types are the parallelogram, the rectangle, the square, the trapezium, and the rhombus. Sum of all the interior angles is 360
  • Parallelogram:- A quadrilateral which has both pairs of opposite sides parallel is called a Parallelogram.Its properties are:-

    • The opposite sides of a parallelogram are equal.
    • The opposite angles of a parallelogram are equal.
    • The diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other.
    • The adjacent angles in a parallelogram are supplementary.
